Jo-Ellen Thompson is a dance teacher, choreographer, and life-long dancer certified to teach by Dance Masters of America and Acrobatic Arts. She has been teaching dance for 24 years at Dance Innovations of Wareham, where she began dancing at the age of 3. Jo-Ellen’s many years of experience, diverse education, and broad scope of training has enabled her to teach a wide variety of dance styles to students of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of experience and ability.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bridgewater State University (BSU) with Bachelor’s degrees in both Dance Education and Social Work. Jo-Ellen is a member of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO), was chosen to present her research at the 2017 NDEO National Conference, and graduated with Honors from the National Honors Society for Dance Arts. She performed and choreographed for several years with Bridgewater State University Dance Company and Cape Dance Theater, a multi-generational dance company. Jo-Ellen was also a guest instructor for the first two years of the new T49 International Dance Convention.
